Care Instructions
Your Valerino garment is crafted to last a lifetime with proper care. Follow these guidelines to preserve the quality, shape, and character of your investment piece.
General Care Guidelines
Washing
Most Valerino pieces should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cold water with a gentle detergent. Never use bleach or harsh chemicals. Always check the garment label first.
Drying
Never tumble dry. Lay flat on a clean towel away from direct sunlight or heat. Reshape while damp. Allow to air dry completely before storing.
Ironing
Use a pressing cloth between the iron and the garment. Iron on the reverse side. Use low to medium heat for wools and cashmere. Steam is preferred over direct contact.
Storage
Hang tailored jackets and trousers on shaped wooden hangers. Fold knitwear to avoid stretching. Store in a cool, dry place. Use cedar blocks to deter moths naturally.
Repairs
Small repairs — loose buttons, minor seams — should be addressed promptly to prevent further damage. Contact us for guidance or to inquire about our repair service.
Dry Cleaning
For structured pieces such as blazers and overcoats, professional dry cleaning is strongly recommended. Inform your dry cleaner of any specific fabric compositions listed on the garment label.
